Privacy policy

The apps: zero telemetry

Stremio Native (desktop) and Stremio Mobile (Android) collect nothing. There is no tracking, no analytics, no crash reporting, and no phone-home connections. Your settings, library, and watch history are stored in a local SQLite database file on your own device and never leave it. This is verifiable in the open-source code.

This website: anonymous analytics

This website uses PostHog to understand which pages are visited and which downloads are clicked, so we know what to improve. We record: page views, download button clicks (with operating system and CPU architecture), clicks to GitHub and documentation, and the referring site including campaign parameters.

  • No accounts exist, and no names or email addresses are collected.
  • Session recording is disabled.
  • The browser's Do Not Track setting is respected — with DNT enabled, no events are sent.
  • Vercel Speed Insights collects anonymous Core Web Vitals performance metrics.

Downloads

All installers, packages, and APKs are served directly from GitHub Releases, not from this website. GitHub's own privacy statement applies to those downloads. Every release ships SHA-256 checksums so you can verify what you downloaded.

Content responsibility

Stremio Native is a media client for the Stremio addon ecosystem. It hosts no content. What you stream, and from which addons, is your choice and your responsibility under the laws that apply to you.
